I had wanted to create mosaics for quite some time, so finding Cathy's web site was an unexpected surprise. Her class was just what I needed to get motivated, and to feel comfortable making a stepping stone. Not just any stepping stone. It is now a work of art in our garden. Cathy is so talented, and the atmosphere in her workshop is perfect to stimulate the creative juices. With her guidance, and incredible collection of materials, you can create something wonderful for your first project. She was right. Once you seal your project in grout, you are hooked. I have used her resources, and found them very reliable. In fact, I completed my first bird-house today...one of eleven or twelve projects I have planned. Don't hesitate. Take Cathy's class, and do it with a friend. It's great!

"Hi Cathy, I enjoyed the mosaic class very much. The small class size was ideal for learning the various steps in mosaic design. I liked being able to "choose" what project I wanted to do (pot, mirror, lazy susan, stepping stone) and I learned the difference between using flat tile vs. dimensional glass or objects that gave each project a different look. Being able to use your tools and supplies to complete the project in two classes was really helpful and gave me a sense of accomplishment. I found the handouts helpful when I needed to purchase tools, grout, and mastic for future mosaic projects I plan on making. TWO DAY MOSAIC WORKSHOPS
I have been happily teaching Beginning Mosaic Classes since April 2010 and we sure are having fun!
The classes take place at our home studio in Riverside, California. The classes include instruction on safety, tools, methods, materials and grouting in an informative, fun and relaxed atmosphere.
The two-day Beginning Mosaic Workshop schedule is as follows:
First day-10 a.m to 3:00 p.m.
Second day -11:00 to 1:00 p.m.
The Beginning Workshop fee is $105.00, which includes:
* Class instruction
* Project base
Your choice of :
12" x 12" stepping stone
8" terracotta flower pot
10" x 10" wood framed mirror
(15" lazy susan - $115.00)
* All of your materials
* Use of tools
* 8 page handout to take home
I have a large selection of materials for you to choose from and I also encourage participants to bring any tiles, broken china, jewelry or interesting found objects.
